Eric Russell serves as CA South’s Chief Financial Officer & Director of Acquisitions. In that role, much of his time is spent, underwriting deals, managing debt closings, sourcing new acquisitions, and all things corporate finance. Eric’s professional and academic background provides a unique blend of finance, strategy, and urban planning to the CA South team.
Prior to joining CA South Development, Eric worked as a VP of Finance & Strategy for Haven Behavioral Healthcare. He is well versed in underwriting acquisitions ($350M acquired), site sourcing, structuring joint ventures, transaction advisory, investor relations, and financial operations. During his time at both publicly traded and private equity portfolio companies, he has created millions of dollars in value by optimizing health care based real estate assets, reducing tax burdens by $4M+ annually.
Eric’s passion for real estate and love for travel brought him to Madrid, Spain. During this time, he worked with and studied both real estate development and urban planning across Europe with some of the most prominent figureheads in the European real estate market.
Eric has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon, an MRED (Master in Real Estate Development) from ie Business School (Madrid, Spain), and a BBA from the University of Kentucky.
